Making my own website for the first time, with some expert guidance from my brilliantly tech savvy daughter, has been a testing and exciting challenge this month.

Lots of walks out in the chilly Lincolnshire countryside have helped to break up the screen time and allow some wildlife spotting and hopeful signs of spring are popping up everywhere. Found these lovely ladybirds hibernating in a rather exposed crevice of the tree bark. They encapsulated Valentine’s day theme for me, and I thought what a huge comfort it is to have others to cuddle with especially during winter and in the midst of this terrible pandemic. How hard it is not to have that.

I am sketching out a story in thumb nails with an optimistic climate change and sustainability theme. The heroes are a group of birds, some of them much more sensible and less selfish than others, but all willing to work together towards making an uncertain future more bearable.

What amazing work you are doing Jay. i remember the record cover you did in your teens and I can see how far you have come. I think lockdown does have some positive outcomes. Time to develop our ideas is one of them. Jenny Davies
